PRE-PREPARED PAPERS Click the link below to see the Rubric for each Pre-Prepared Paper. Also included is the penalty point checklist. Note that the folio is needed for State (even though it is crossed out on the form). The only thing that is needed is the Letter of Assurance and a Folio
Operations Research Presentation Examples: Click the below buttons for examples of a Operations Research Presentation Example in PowerPoint. There is also an example of script. Some things to keep in mind: The script is based on two people presenting. You will need to adjust yours accordingly. The presentation is very high quality with lots of transitions and effects.
Placemats: These are "leave behinds" that those competing in pre-prepared papers are encouraged to leave with the judge. It highlights the topics you cover during the presentation. Click the button to access the examples.
All Pre-Prepared Papers (packets as describe below) will be turned in on by 12/9.
A complete packet includes, in this order, and stapled:
Penalty point sheet on top, followed by
Scoring rubric, followed by
Statement of Assurances, signed (biggest penalty), followed by
The actual paper
I have included a link below that contains each of the above needed documents for you to print what you need. (See DECA Area Form to Print for Above Papers below)
Finally, know that for all paper events, the Executive Summary is the only portion of the actual paper that is scored, while the remaining portion of the rubric is determined from the presentation. And, the Executive Summary is the tie breaker.
